Windeck / Wachenburg
A view of Windeck from Weinheim below.

Below, the obvious support for a stone floor within the keep.
Below, a view of the walkway to the keep's entrance.  The walkway is fairly authentic, but of course the railing is recent.  In fact, in most castles walkways along walls had no railings at all, with each man responsible for himself to not accidently step off!
Left, a good view of the walls of the residential section.

Below, a view of the stairway coming to the open section of the keep.  However, careful examination shows that the stairway continued upward to the true, though no longer extant, top of the keep.  This section is a combination of authentic and rebuild materials.
A view of the keep's spiral stairway.  The stairs and much of the support are of recent reconstruction.  However, they are patterened after the authentic elements that have survived.

Below, a photo that shows how small the keep was.  It is apparent that this keep was not designed for extensive living but rather to hold out against an attack that penetrated the main castle awaiting relief from the outside.
