The extant interior of the main palas is incredible, clearly showing the multiple levels of the structure. The large fireplace (seen at right) helped to heat two separate levels.
The extant structure demonstrates that there were four distinct floors. These would have been made of wood with wooden floor joists, the initial beams laid across the mounts protruding from the wall.
