Below, within the small courtyard of Eltz. The curtain wall actually serves as the functional buildings as well.
To the right, a view of some of the original structure of the earlier castle. The well-kept appearance implies that these walls have been rebuilt some, but since the castle saw little action, it is very possible that this section is original "as-is."
While I didn't go on the tour, there is plenty to see around the castle grounds. There are also some other interesting ruins close by that were part of the early structure and defensive layout.
